CAM’s Marketing Representatives Paid Visit to Airline Companies in China Taiwan to Discuss Future Route Development

The Marketing Department delegation of Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) paid a visit to airline companies in Taipei on 20th April 2023, to discuss on aspects of future route development, business cooperation and the latest market outlook of Macau International Airport (MIA).

 

The delegations first paid a visit to Tigerair Taiwan in Taipei. The delegation was received by Tigerair Taiwan’s senior management. They discussed on the Tigerair Taiwan’s preparations for resuming service on Macau–Taiwan routes in July. Tigerair Taiwan is also planning to resume the regular services on the three routes from Macau to Taipei, Taichung and Kaohsiung at the same time. The flight frequency will be arranged according to market demand, laying an important foundation for the full resumption of the route between two regions in the future. Both parties also discussed topics such as the increase of flight frequency by Tigerair Taiwan in the future.

 

The delegation also visited the headquarters of the STARLUX Airlines and EVA Air in Taipei. The delegation was received by the senior management of Corporate Planning Division of STARLUX Airlines and EVA Air. They exchanged opinions and discussed on the vision of STARLUX Airlines and EVA Air to the routes development in the future. Macau International Airport encourages airlines to develop more connecting flights departing from Macau to Americas and Europe destinations via their local hub, at the same time MIA will strengthen the management of the actual utilization rate of airline slot applications, the market outlook and other topics, for continuous strengthening of cooperation between two markets in the future to attract more travellers from the Greater Bay Area and develop more new routes.

 

MIA has always been making full advantages of the current traffic rights to develop diversified routes combination with airlines aiming to provide a more convenient and comfortable travel experience for travellers.

 

The delegation of CAM include Mr. Eric Fong – Director of Marketing Department, Mr. Franco Kwan – Deputy Director and Mr. Daniel Lam – the Manager.
