2021 was another year of extreme challenges as COVID-19 continued to impact airports industry in Asia Pacific and the Middle East. However, 2021 was also a year of strength and recovery, as the industry became more agile in response to the evolving environment. The Year in Review 2021 reflects our accomplishments; acknowledge our members’ policies and priorities in response to the pandemic; our engagement with governments and policymakers seeking support to adopt risk-based approaches and standards towards digitalisation; and international harmonisation of travel processes.
