Airports across Asia-Pacific and the Middle East are preparing for nearly 7% annual air travel growth over the next 25 years. To support sustainable development, the 2nd ACI Asia-Pacific & Middle East Regional Assembly in New Delhi adopted a resolution promoting the optimisation of current capacity and the expansion of new infrastructure.

Several senior officials and representatives from Sharjah Airport Authority celebrated the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s 92nd National Day. The occasion was commemorated in recognition of the cordial ties and shared historical connections between the two countries.
Due to the ongoing Phase 3A expansion work at Terminal 1, there is change in traffic movement for the vehicles leaving the T1 Departure Ramp from midnight of Monday (September 26, 2022). Any vehicle coming to T1 Departures will have to make a U-turn at the end of the Departure forecourt ramp and exit the terminal through the newly widened up-ramp to take Mehram Nagar Road for their airport exit.

On 9 October when the new METRONET Airport Line opens, the station’s link to the terminals will be via a new pedestrian ‘sky’ bridge which features a unique soundscape as well as indigenous art installations.

Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) welcomed on Tuesday 20 September, 2022, the first Ethiopian Airlines flight from Addis Ababa Bole International Airport - emphasizing continuous efforts to diversify the travel options available to passengers by expanding its airline and destination networks. The flag carrier of Ethiopia will operate three weekly direct flights between Amman and Addis Ababa.
