Airports across Asia-Pacific and the Middle East are preparing for nearly 7% annual air travel growth over the next 25 years. To support sustainable development, the 2nd ACI Asia-Pacific & Middle East Regional Assembly in New Delhi adopted a resolution promoting the optimisation of current capacity and the expansion of new infrastructure.

Velana International Airport's New Code F Runway Commencement and Noovilu Seaplane Terminal’s Official Opening

Vice President of the Maldives, Faisal Naseem has officially inaugurated the new Code F runway and Noovilu Seaplane Terminal developed at Velana International Airport (VIA). At a special ceremony held at the airport this morning, the new Code-F runway was officially commenced with the arrival of emirates B777 aircraft at 0715hrs.
