Airports Council International Asia-Pacific & Middle East (ACI APAC & MID) today announced its highly anticipated Air Connectivity Ranking 2024, revealing a remarkable 14% year-on-year increase in both Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions, driven by strong international demand, robust network recovery, and the return of major travel corridors.
ACI Asia-Pacific commends its airport members, which despite the challenges of the COVID-19 crisis, reported continued carbon savings. The report was part of the Airport Carbon Accreditation programme publishing its first carbon performance results for the period May 2019 to May 2021 at the 31st ACI LAC/World Annual General Assembly convening in Cancun, Mexico.
Airports Council International (ACI) Asia-Pacific today urged more governments to reopen borders and relax quarantine requirements especially in countries which have reached satisfactory vaccination rates, to prevent repeat of a dismal year for Asia-Pacific and Middle East airports.
