Airports Council International Asia-Pacific and Middle East (ACI APAC & MID), the trade group representing over 600 airports across 45 countries and territories, welcomed the decision of Gulf Cooperation Council to establish the Gulf Civil Aviation Authority, describing the initiative as historic milestone for aviation in the region that will strengthen regional integration, enhance global competitiveness, and lay the institutional foundations for a new era of coordinated aviation development across the Gulf countries.
The Airports Council International Asia-Pacific & Middle East (ACI APAC & MID), the trade association for airports, has reaffirmed its commitment to the sustainable growth and development of the airport industry at the ICAO 58th Conference of Director Generals of Civil Aviation for Asia and Pacific Region in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
On 16 May 2022, Airports Council International World (ACI World), Airports Council International Asia-Pacific (ACI Asia-Pacific) and the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to conduct research and studies and develop and deliver training for aviation professionals. The training will equip aviation professionals with new knowledge and skills to help them rebuild their respective aviation sectors which have been badly hit by the COVID-19 pandemic in the last two years.
