Airports Council International Asia-Pacific & Middle East (ACI APAC & MID) today announced its highly anticipated Air Connectivity Ranking 2024, revealing a remarkable 14% year-on-year increase in both Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions, driven by strong international demand, robust network recovery, and the return of major travel corridors.
KL International Airport (KLIA) and Langkawi International Airport (LGK retained their positions as the world’s best airports by achieving perfect scores of 5.00 respectively in the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) survey for Q3 2022. Both airports had attained the same top spot in Q2 2022. For Q3, KLIA shared the achievement in the over 40 million passengers per annum (mppa) category alongside eight other airports. Meanwhile, LGK was the only airport in its category of 2–5 mppa to score full points in the survey. ASQ is a global survey by Airports Council International (ACI) that measures overall passenger satisfaction for terminal safety, facilities, services, and cleanliness.
Continuing its endeavor to improve passenger amenities, Mangaluru International Airport on November 23 opened the international arrival hall at the new integrated terminal building (NITB) for passenger use.
