Airports across Asia-Pacific and the Middle East are preparing for nearly 7% annual air travel growth over the next 25 years. To support sustainable development, the 2nd ACI Asia-Pacific & Middle East Regional Assembly in New Delhi adopted a resolution promoting the optimisation of current capacity and the expansion of new infrastructure.
In order to accelerate the resumption of air services of Macau, Macau International Airport is actively looking for opportunities and seeking collaboration with the industry partners to further expand the air capacity. A delegation led by Mr. Eric Fong – Director of Marketing Department (MKD) of Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM), and representatives from Air Macau Company Limited, had paid a business visit to the Guiyang Municipal Government and the Guizhou Province Airport Group Company Limited (GZA) in Guiyang on 6th and 7th February 2023. In the meetings, several topics had been brought up and both parties had detailed discussion on aspects of the routes development between the two regions and the implementation of resuming the Macau – Guiyang route, as well as negotiations on the incentive scheme for this route.
Kansai Airports and Hannan City will work together to create a rich marine environment through collaboration between the local communities and the airport as “the Osaka Bay Sea Forest (Seaweed Beds) Conservation and Restoration Project”.
