Airports Council International Asia-Pacific & Middle East (ACI APAC & MID), the trade association representing over 600 airports, made strong recommendations at the 60th ICAO Conference of Directors General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for Asia and Pacific regions in Sendai, Japan recently. The Members of the Conference endorsed the ACI APAC & MID’s recommendations and encouraged States to take appropriate steps for implementation.

Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) took the no.1 place in the 2024 ranking of the world’s busiest cargo airports, as revealed by Airports Council International (ACI) World today. The airport has been named the busiest cargo airport in the world for the 14th time since 2010. The airport handled 4.9 million tonnes of cargo during the year.
