Airports Council International (ACI) Asia-Pacific and Middle East (ACI APAC & MID) announced the Airport Connectivity Report at the launch of its Middle East office in Riyadh. Developed in partnership with PwC, the Airport Connectivity Report measures passengers’ ability to access the global air transport network, capturing both direct and indirect routes, and also factoring in the quality of service of each connection, such as destination choice, service frequency, onward connectivity and price, contributing to the passenger experience. The report covers a sample of 100 airports that accounts for almost 60% of the combined passenger traffic in Asia-Pacific and the Middle East in 2019.
The Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has renewed the aerodrome license of Mangaluru International Airport. The renewed license effective from September 16, 2023, will be valid for a period of 5-years, that is up to September 15, 2028. The validity of the current aerodrome license issued on March 16, 2022, ended on September 15, 2023. The airport received the renewed license on September 12.
Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru (also BLR Airport) commenced its international operations at Terminal 2 (T2) on the September 12, 2023, at 10:15 AM, with the arrival of Saudi Airlines' flight SV866 from Jeddah. IndiGo was the first Indian carrier to start international operations from T2 with its flight 6E1167 to Colombo.

Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) in collaboration with Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee solemnly held the Groundbreaking Ceremony of three bidding packages under the two biggest construction projects of its airports including Package No. 5.10 "Construction and equipment installation for passenger terminal" and Package No. 4.6 “Construction, equipment installation and construction drawings preparation for runway, taxiway, apron, and other facilities”- Long Thanh International Airport Phase 1, Sub-project 3: Essential airport facilities together with Package No. 12 "Construction and equipment installation of passenger terminal T3" - Tan Son Nhat International Airport". The total investment for these packages is over 53 trillion VND.
Sunshine Coast Airport has celebrated record passenger numbers in July 23, with more than 178,000 passengers passing through the terminal. This incredible figure is the highest monthly total in the Airport’s history and follows a record breaking 1.62million passengers in FY22/23.
