Small Airports Assistance Program

Background and Objective

The Regional Office recognizes the importance of capacity building for airport members’ employees, especially in Asia-Pacific, a fast-growing region. Small Airports Assistance Programme (SAAP) is designed to assist eligible members to participate in ACI training courses and initiatives that encourage knowledge exchange amongst airports in the region.

 

Eligibility

The SAAP 2020 is open to ACI Asia-Pacific airport members in good standing who:

  1. are from developing nations according to The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD); and
  2. have handled less than 5,000,000 traffic units in 2017 as stated in the Regional Office’s notification for 2020 membership dues.

 

Programme Offer - ACI Training Courses

ACI Global Training, in cooperation with the Regional Office, organizes training courses to develop airport staff and management talents in areas such as airport safety, security, economics, etc. The SAAP will subsidize the course fee, air fare and hotel accommodation for any ACI training course held in the Asia-Pacific region.

 

Application and Approval

To apply, airport members shall:

  1. fill in the application form (downloadable via link below);
  2. provide a nomination letter signed by the airport member’s Official Representative; and
  3. include the resume of the applicant.

 

All 3 items shall be submitted to the Regional Office on or before 29 February 2020 for consideration.
