Small Airports Assistance Program

Background and Objective

ACI Asia-Pacific recognizes the importance of capacity building for airport staff in Asia-Pacific, the fastest growing region in aviation. The Small Airports Assistance Program (SAAP) is designed to assist airport members which are small in size and with limited budget, to attend ACI training courses and participate in initiatives that encourage knowledge exchange amongst airports in the region.

 

Eligibility

The SAAP is open to ACI Asia-Pacific airport members in good standing who are (1) from developing nations according to The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and (2) handled less than 5,000,000 traffic units in 2016 as per 2019 membership dues.

 

Options on Offer

The ACI Asia-Pacific is pleased to offer two options in SAAP 2019.

 

  • Scholarships to attend ACI training courses
  • Invite developed airports to be voluntary mentors through the Airport Mentorship Program
