ACI Elects New Chairman - 03/11/2009
Kuala Lumpur, 3 November 2009 - The ACI annual assembly of the world’s airport executives today elected Mr. Max Moore-Wilton as the new Chair of Airports Council International (ACI), the global airport trade association, to serve for a two-year term. He succeeds the current Chair James Cherry as of 1 January 2010. Mr Moore-Wilton knows the ACI association well, having first served as a regional advisor and then as a member of the ACI Governing Board and as Vice Chair of the Board this year.

Worldwide Airport Traffic Reports for June 2006 - 28/07/2006
Geneva – ACI’s Paxflash report for June 2006 indicates that passenger traffic continued to rise with the world’s airports reporting a 4 percent increase as compared to June 2005. International passenger traffic rose by a robust 7 percent, whereas domestic growth was flat.

ACI ‘PaxFlash’ and ‘FreightFlash’ Show Mixed Results for July 2006 - 27/07/2006
Geneva – ACI July traffic results confirm that worldwide passenger and freight traffic growth continues to contribute to the steady growth curve established in the first seven months of 2006 although at a slower pace (see Table 1). Worldwide passenger traffic in July rose by 2.6 percent as compared to July 2005, with 5 percent international traffic growth compensating for flat domestic growth.

ACI Asia and Pacific Regions to Merge - 09/05/2006
Hong Kong – Airports Council International announced today that its two top-growing regions ACI-Asia and ACI-Pacific will merge, thus creating the largest geographical grouping in the organisation. The new entity will comprise 478 airports that span the Middle East, former CIS States, the Indo-Pakistan subcontinent, Northeast and Southeast Asia, Oceania, the Pacific Islands, Hawaii and also includes two key North American cities Vancouver and San Francisco. In 2005, these airports handled 980 million passengers, 28 million tonnes of cargo and 9 million aircraft movements.
