Regional Board
The Regional Board consisting of twenty-five members is a crucial decision-making organization on the regional issues such an annual budget, activity programs, policy statements, etc.

The Asia-Pacific region has maintained a strong presence and influence in the ACI World committees. Active participation lends regional balance to the world standing committes and allows individual participants the opportunity to share and build on their experience.

CAIRNS AIRPORT Cairns Airport is one of Australia’s leading regional airports, providing air links to a range of domestic and international locations. Nestled between mountains, mangroves and the Coral Sea, Cairns Airport is the gateway to World Heritage Great Barrier Reef and Tropical Rainforests of North Queensland and is just 7 kilometres from Cairns CBD. Over 3 million passengers pass through Cairns Airport’s Domestic Terminal each year. There are direct domestic flights to Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Darwin and Townsville as well as to Alice Springs and Ayers Rock (Uluru) and many regional centres. Cairns Airport is Australia's seventh busiest airport for international passengers with direct flights to Auckland, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Guam, Port Moresby and to Singapore via Darwin. In 2007 Cairns Airport commenced a $200M Domestic Terminal Redevelopment which is on track for completion in the second half of 2010. The redevelopment is creating a light, spacious state-of-the-art terminal which includes: • A 133% increase in overall size from 18,400sqm to 42,900sqm • An increase in Check-in area of 78% to 2,281sqm, with 36 counters • Departure lounge will be increased from 3,439sqm to 6,614sqm • Retail outlets will increase from 13 to 21 and the retail space will increase by 31% • Improved passenger flows and security Cairns Airport is operated by Cairns Airport Pty Ltd, part of the North Queensland Airports Group.
