The Asia-Pacific Region has 96 members operating 475 airports in 47 countries.  According to the ACI Preliminary World Air Traffic 2009, the airports in the Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions handled 1.17 billion passengers, 29.6 million tonnes of cargo and 10.8 million aircraft movements.
